To be or not to be...?

What will you reaction be when a really good friend comes out of the closet? Would you be shocked or outraged because she is not having a normal sexual preference? Or would you try to understand her and be a friend by telling her that it is okay to make that choice?

You can't choose who you fall in love with. Even if that person is the same gender as you. Portia De Rossi (now Mrs De Generes), commented on her relationship with Ellen " I just fell in love with her". As simple as that. It was not a conscious decision to be gay, you just happen to find the right person to spend your life with.

I must admit that I am not entirely comfortable with the same sex relationship/marriage, but hey...if it makes you happy. What else can I say...? I am not taking a shot at anybody, just sharing my experience in this matter.

And my friend, if you are reading this, it means that I accept you the way you are and we are still friends. And yes, I think you got some cool reading collection going on. I loved the Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Wish that you can come visit me in KL soon :)

Oooh, that's a tough one.I'm quite okay when it comes to homosexuality. The husband, however, is what we would call a homophobic. But when I asked him about the whole same-sex-paramour thing, he explained with the word 'laknat' attached to it.Er, okay.

There was a reason why kaum Lut was destroyed.Like I said, it's a tough and when the word 'caliph' is rubbed in your nose. This is my humble opinionlah...susah bah.

Yeah, agree with LS on this one.Its a hard one but then again, we'll never know until the situation hits our face.
Like u, if this kind of thing happens to 1 of my friend, I dont think i can just shove her/him away. Prolly I'll just be a friend n tell her that its okay as long as she's happy.
Nothing to be outrage for. Its just how u view the picture. If the image is somewhat amazing, people tend to look at it more than once but if its a not so colorful image, guess some people will just have to take it or leave it.
Hurmm..mmg susahlah...nk explain what i think pun dah berterabur dah tok.hehe..o maybe sebab i just got up? hahah!

Kak Nuwal, I agree with Kak Lisa. This is a tricky one. As a Muslim we should abhor it with all our heart as this is a great sin. However, the freedom to be free to live one's own life is an essential part of being human. At the end of the day, its between you and God. I have a cousin like your friend, and its hard for me to think of what to say. You are a very good friend, and I think your friend would be thinking the same thing.

I suppose to each his own...and it is between that person and God. Anyway, not here to condemn my friend, just stating the facts.
